As spring rapidly descends upon the Charlotte area, it’s only natural that homeowners’ minds will turn toward getting their homes ready for spring and summer. As part of this year’s spring cleaning regimen, why not take this opportunity to look a little deeper at your house’s overall “whole home health?”

Without a doubt, there are numerous tweaks you can make to increase energy efficiency and raise the level of indoor air quality. Among other things, these tweaks include installing or upgrading your attic insulation, upgrading window treatments and coverings, replacing your old thermostat with a programmable one, installing ceiling fans, getting your heating and cooling system serviced for better home performance, cleaning the seals on your freezer/fridge, and getting an indoor air quality assessment.

As you develop your own house-healthy plan, keep in mind that these improvements are cumulative. Even though one single change may not make a big difference, they will combine to help pad your bank account and increase your overall quality of life.

Check out the infographic below for more details and tips to ensure your home is truly “house healthy.” And when you’re done with that, read about Ross & Witmer’s full array of healthy home services.
